TIMES BONTANG, PROBOLINGGO – Probolinggo, East Java, has the new tourism attraction that becomes the traveler’s favorite. This new attraction is Pekalen Fun Tubing, located in Maron Kidul Village, Maron sub-district.

It has been operating since two months ago, and it has attracted those who like tubing activity in Probolinggo. In fact, Pekalen Fun Tubing has managed to become the fourth winner in Bupati CUP OVOD (One Village One Destination) 2019 in Probolinggo.

This new tubing attraction was introduced to public in August 2019. It was expected to become the new icon in Maron Kidul Village, especially in Maron sub-district.

 “Although this tourism attraction is relatively new, it has managed to be the fourth winner of OVOD Bupati Cup. This recreational activity has got IDR 80 million from BUMDes (Village-Owned Enterprise),” said Imam Syafi’I, the Head of the Maron sub-district, on Friday (29/11/2019).

The establishment of this tourism attraction involved several parties, such as the head of the sub-district, Village Government, and the locals.

The tubing is around 2 to 3 kilometers in length. In this place, the visitors will feel the adrenaline, but it is not dangerous. The water volume in this river can be adjusted.

 “In the near future, we are planning to improve this place and add some facilities, such as selfie spots, natural parks, food stalls, café, and so on,” said Imam.

In addition, the establishment of Pekalen Fun Tubing is supported by the Government of Probolinggo and the locals. (*)
